Back for the second year, this mega Hanukkah celebration at the MFA is for the whole family.

FREE museum admission includes

  • gallery “spotlight” talks
  • Judaica collection talks by Curator of Judaica, Marietta Cambareri
  • drawing in the galleries
  • musical performances by Two-Shekel Swing, Klezwoods, Cantor Peter Halpern with Pianist Victor Cayres, and
    Peri Smilow
  • a sampling of short films
  • Between Lands, a Virtual Reality art installation
  • twitter poetry in the galleries

 

Join us in the Shapiro Family Courtyard for candle lighting at 6:30pm.

Welcoming remarks by MFA Director Matthew Teitelbaum, Consul General of Israel to New England Yehuda Yaakov, MFA Chair Lis Tarlow, CJP President Barry Shrage, Jewish Arts Collaborative Chair Howard Cohen, and Jewish Arts Collaborative Executive Director Laura Mandel.

Museum members skip the line!

An original larger than life menorah by artist Hilary Zelson to be illuminated at 6:30pm.

Food will be available for purchase in the museum restaurants, cafeteria, and cafe.
